PILE-GUIDED MOORING SYSTEM
Before installation, geotechnical and site surveys are conducted to determine suitable pile locations, installation depths, and construction methods. The piles are driven or installed into the seabed at the surveyed positions. The floating pontoon is then secured to the piles using pile guides, which allow the structure to move vertically with changes in water level while limiting horizontal movement. This system is particularly suitable for locations with large tidal ranges or significant exposure to waves and wind. By restricting horizontal movement, it improves positional stability and helps minimize pontoon motion. Under appropriate site conditions, it can provide greater stability than anchor-line or deadweight-block mooring systems. To enhance durability in marine environments, the piles may be protected with PE or FRP jackets or other corrosion-protection systems. All installation work is carried out in accordance with the geotechnical survey results and project-specific design requirements.

    01

Tendering, Technical Consultation & Design Following tendering and technical consultation, the installation site and project requirements are reviewed, and a project-specific design is developed.

  • BOM Preparation & Construction Planning

    02

BOM Preparation & Construction Planning A bill of materials (BOM) is prepared, government-furnished materials are confirmed, auxiliary materials are secured, and the construction plan is reviewed.

  • Site Survey & Pile Layout

    03

Site Survey & Pile Layout The installation site is surveyed, and the designated pile locations are measured and marked.

  • Pile Drilling & Installation

    04

Pile Drilling & Installation The seabed is drilled at the surveyed locations, and the piles are installed to the specified depths and positions.
